Carol began her yoga journey in 2001, but was only able to fully immerse herself in her yoga practice in 2018. After qualifying as a yoga teacher, she wanted to share her passion for psychology and her love of yoga with her clients, and hence founded "yogicology" to offer a differentiated yoga experience, with a strong foundation in psychological principles. She combines Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin modalities in her yoga practice and incorporates unique therapeutic nuances to provide a fully integrated approach to holistic health. Her yoga style is best described as "Yinyasa" as she adopts very calming, restorative "yinspired" concepts and weaves these into her vinyasa sequencing. Carol is a RYT 500 yoga teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance and a teacher at Virgin Active in La Lucia and Gateway.
Jade, Carol's daughter, is a university student who has always been passionate about health and wellness. She is a ballet dancer and was drawn to yoga because it so perfectly compliments her dance practice.
Jade has also adopted the "Yinyasa" style, enjoying the stretch aspects of yin, which are integral to every dancer's repertoire, whilst simultaneously embracing the creativity of choreographing beautiful flows.
Jade's yoga practice has played a vital role in her own personal journey to wellness. She has found the breathing techniques invaluable to calming her overly anxious "A" type personality.
Jade is currently studying Psychology at the University of Exeter and is a yoga teacher and personal trainer at the campus gym.
When Jade and I spend time on our mats together, we immediately connect at a soul level and embrace these treasured moments of sharing, laughing, stretching, breathing and healing in unity..
Carol has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, with majors in Law and Psychology. She has an Honours Degree in Psycholgoy; an Honours Degree in Business Practice; a Bachelor of Laws; and a Master's Degree in Psychology. She is an internationally qualified Life Coach and a Yoga Practitioner with 500YTT in Hatha and Vinyasa and a diploma in Yin.
